	Wow, Flyers 29 - leaf 13. That’s a pretty one-sided massacre in this category. Did you notice the 22 year gap between 1980 and 2002 without a leaf All-Star? That’s an NHL record. No other team has ever gone that long without at least one All-Star selection. *Pick: Flyers*
	Since their inception, the Flyers have won Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975. The Flyers have also made it into the Stanley Cup Finals on five other occasions since 1967-68. Trips to the Finals: Philly – 1974, ’75, ’76, ‘80, ’85, ’87, ’97. leaf – zero.! *Pick: Flyers*
	In the decade beginning January 1, 1970 and ending December 31, 1979 (the 70’s) the Flyers had a regular season winning percentage of .614. In the ‘70’s, the leaf winning percentage was .508. *Pick: Flyers*
	In the 1980’s the Flyers winning percentage was .536. The pitiful leaf in that period was W-228, L-410, T-87. That’s an awful .374 winning percentage. *Pick: Flyers*
	In the 90’s, same story, the Flyers out-won the leaf with a winning percentage of .536 to .489 by the leaf. *Pick: Flyers*
	In the 70’s, ‘80’s and 90’s, the Flyers outscored the leaf 2782-2642, 2934-2611 and 2442-2280. That’s a total of 8158 goals over 3 decades to 7533 for the leaf, a difference of 625 goals. Wasn’t that a whole lot more to cheer about for Flyer fans? That’s for sure. Pick: Flyers
	In head-to-head meetings in the playoffs, the Flyers and the leaf have clashed on five occasions, 1975, ‘76, ‘77, ’99 and 2003. Who could forget last year when the stupid leaf folded like a cheap tent in Game 7 of the opening round against the Flyers. Anyway, the Flyers have beaten the leaf in four out of five playoff series. In each of these five series, the Flyers have actually outscored the leaf. In total, the Flyers have lit the lamp 102 times in head-to-head encounters to 72 for the leaf in the playoffs. 	The all-time career record for goals scored in the playoffs by a leaf is held by Wendel Clarke with 34. The Flyers have six guys in their history who have more than Wendel: Rick MacLeish- 53, Bill Barber- 53, Brian Propp-52, Reggie Leach- 47 (Leach still holds the record for most goals in one playoff year, 1976 – 19 goals in just 16 games) Bobby Clarke- 42, and Tim Kerr- 39. John LeClair should eclipse Wendel’s rather feeble mark this year. LeClair has 33 playoff goals and counting. *Pick: Flyers*
	In January of 1982, The Philadelphia Flyers acquired former leaf captain and future Hall-of-Famer, Darryl Sittler from the leaf. To get him, they gave up Rich Costello. Sittler went on to score 84 more goals for the Flyers and added 4 more in the playoffs. Rich Costello played 12 games for the leaf and scored twice. Truly another sad leaf story. *Pick: Flyers*
	On October 14, 1979, the Flyers defeated the leaf 4-3. From there, they went 11 weeks and 35 straight games without a loss, an NHL record that will be difficult to beat. In their entire history, the longest the leaf has gone undefeated is 11 games. *Pick: Flyers*
	Even though the leaf had a 50 year head start, the Flyers had four fifty-goal scorers before the leaf had one. Altogether, the Flyers have had a fifty goal scorer 12 times: MacLeish (1), Leach (2), Barber (1), Kerr (4), LeClair (3), Recchi (1). The leaf have had 5 ½ . Dave Andreychuk finished the’93 season with 54 goals but 29 of those were with the Sabres. Pick: Flyers

	Since 1967 -68, a Flyer has won the Hart Trophy as league MVP four times. Bobby Clarke won it in 1973, ‘75 and ’76 and Eric Lindros won it in 1995. No leaf has won the Hart trophy since the Flyers have been around. *Pick: Flyers*
